Two ceramic sculptures: earthenware fired with underglazes and oxides created and by Maxine Price.

 

To create her unique ceramic sculptures. Maxine coils and slab builds her works, adding texture and character then consolidating with multiple firings. Maxine’s work has been very well received and is in high demand by both gallery owners and private collectors.

Bushfire Dreaming

Gwen is Walpiri and comes from the Tennant Creek, Ali Curing region of the NT. She has been painting for nearly 40 years, a family tradition passed down from her father and is a highly respected artist, her work being exhibited at the Ali Curing Art Centre.

 

This traditional aboriginal painting featuring ochre colours is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and photograph of the artist. The reverse of the canvas tells the story of the dreaming and itemises all parts of the painting with explanations of waterholes, clouds, animal tracks and other features.
