Aboriginal Painting
by
Bessie
Nakamarra Sims
This painting depicts the Pamapardu Jukurrpa (Flying
Ant Dreaming) from Wapurtali, west of Yuendumu.
'Pamapardu' is the Warlpiri name for the flying ants or
termites that build the large anthills found throughout
Warlpiri country. This country belongs to
Nakamarra/Napurrurla women and
Jakamarra/Jupurrurla men.
Art Centre of Yuendumu. Located at Yuendumu, 300km northwest of Alice Springs
in the Northern Territory, the art centre is both a stronghold
of traditional Warlpiri culture and an essential part of
Yuendumu's community life. We thank the Art Centre at Yuendumu
for this generous donation.

Print,
Beth Jennings Photography
Beth's Philosophy: I work with people
to document a glimpse of their family magic and personality.
My destination work is inspired by people, communities and
the ways in which their history, identity and approach to
life manifest themselves in their surroundings. My photographic
style is subtle and the results lively, touching and revealing.
